Home Study Services - Family & Community Services Adoption Services

A home study document is required for all types of adoptions. F&CS Foster Care, Adoption and Counseling Services has the expertise and accreditation to provide home study services for people pursuing an adoption who are living within Ohio or Michigan.

We provide adoptive families with expertise, professionalism and the support of an entire adoption team. With over 30 years of experience in adoption, we know how to support adoptive families, birth families and adoptees.

Expert home study services upon completion of formal application: Domestic home study completed in 4-6 weeks; Hauge International home study completed in 4-8 weeks; Kinship/relative adoption home study
Flexible appointments: weekends, evenings and early mornings
Customized parent preparation and training, as well as training referral resources to meet state and Hague requirements
Pre-adoption counseling
All needed documentation and clearances for pre-certification and approval
Coordination of services with your placement provider (agency or attorney)
Post-adoption services

Our agency provides domestic and international home studies for agency or independent (attorney) adoptions. We can recommend experienced placement agencies or adoption attorneys who are approved providers for countries that we do not have programs in. We provide international home studies for families working with agencies throughout the United States and adopting from many countries around the world.
